Join bonsai enthusiast, Linwood Rae for an introductory look into this magical and meditative art form. Includes a practical demonstration covering all you need to know to get started, from tree selection, preparation and design, to ongoing care and maintenance. 

Linwood has been creating and caring for bonsai for over 40 years, in a non-professional and part time capacity. His interest in this art form has greatly to his life through engaging the artistic and design elements of his personality and allowing him to embrace the pleasures of relaxation and serenity.

How to Book:
  1. Register your party using the form below
    You need to provide the name, contact details and dietary requirements of each person you are booking for. You can book for a party of up to 10.
  2. Pay for tickets within any Ipswich Library branch
    Full payment required for group bookings. Payment cannot be accepted on the day of the event.

Registrations and payment are required by Friday 19 August 2022.  
You must be an Ipswich Libraries member to register and make payment.  If you aren’t a member it’s easy to sign up here

We ask you to please stay home on the day of the event if you are unwell or are displaying COVID-19 or cold/flu symptoms no matter how mild.
