To get in the holiday spirit this December, our Makerspace Challenge has evolved into an activity extravaganza. This month, you can choose from 5 different challenges to try your hand in, or attempt them all if you are feeling competitive. Simply click on the challenge links below to find out more about each challenge. Don’t forget to register you entries and good luck!

How to enter

  1. Choose a challenge (or several) to participate in.
  2. Follow the challenge instructions on each challenge page.
  3. Register your challenge entry through the Registration link below.
  4. Continue entering challenges to earn as many tokens as you can.
  5. Stay tuned at the end of the month to find out your total tokens and collect you prize!

Earn Your Tokens

For every challenge you enter during during December, you will earn Makerspace Tokens depending on how well you do in the challenge. Therefore everyone can win a prize! You will gain one (1) Token for you entry in each challenge or earn more depending on how you place at the end of the month. Results with token count will be released to you at the end of the month.



AR Dance Off!

Show us your craziest dance moves! Do your best dance while you complete any of the AR Adventures mini-games at Springfield Library’s Makerspace.

December Sandbox Challenge

Time to get your hands dirty! Using the Augmented Reality Sandbox at either the Ipswich Central or Springfield Central Library, create a scene with the sand and the items found in the box.

Christmas Art Challenge

Head to either the Ipswich Central or Springfield Central Makerspaces and use the HP Sprouts to create our own Christmas themed digital art. 

Stop Motion Story Challenge

Each week there will be a new theme, tell a story that fits within the theme, the most creative story will win!

VR Beat Saber Challenge

Come show us your skills in rhythm and coordination, and fight your way to the top of the leaderboard.
