Every month compete in the ultimate Makerspace Challenge to test your skills and win amazing prizes!
Challenges change monthly and can be completed using the technology and software currently available in the Ipswich Libraries Makerspaces.
Complete the following activities to refine your Makerspace skills.
Time to get your hands dirty! Using the Augmented Reality Sandbox at either the Ipswich Central or Springfield Central Library, create a scene with the sand and the items found in the box.
Head to either the Ipswich Central or Springfield Central Makerspaces and use the HP Sprouts to create our own Christmas themed digital art.
We challenge you to use your isolation creativity to design something that can help people, the environment or simply assist with anything you’re passionate about.
Bored at home? We challenge you to design the ultimate toy to play with while you stay at home.
We challenge you to design something that can help people navigate the world without having to touch contaminated surfaces.
We challenge you to use your design and engineering skills to create a roller coaster that is strong enough to hold a marble. Don’t have a marble? You can also use a tennis ball, golf ball or if you’re feeling adventurous, a basketball!
We challenge you to create a Stop Motion movie! It can be as long or short as you want, and can be about absolutely anything. The characters or moving elements in your movie can be done with clay, toys, people or anything else you can think of.
Visit one of the Ipswich Library Makerspaces, jump onto a HP Sprout or the Virtual Reality system to begin painting your portrait.
This project will allow you to design and 3D print your very own bookmark using Tinkercad.
