Calling for Entries in the 2015 Student Awards.
Your school could win $2000 and be the holder of the perpetual trophy for twelve months.
The purpose of the Student Awards is to encourage students from all levels of education to participate in design and heritage conservation projects that relate to the City of Ipswich.
The Student Awards are open to Early Childhood and Lower Primary, Middle School (Grades 5-9), Upper High School (Grades 10-12) and Tertiary (TAFE and University) students.
Particular emphasis will be given to projects that have a heritage conservation; urban design/renewal; urban consolidation; environmental/greening program; or, other theme that relates to the City’s urban or natural history.
The Awards will be presented to the student or group of students that produce a project of scholastic excellence which is innovative and which is located within the City and rural areas. Due consideration will be given to the age of the applicant.
Awards in the form of certificates are presented on the recommendation of the Judging Panel to the person/s principally responsible for the project/works.
Ipswich City Council offers $2000 to the school/institution whose student/s are presented with the Overall Student Award for Excellence. In addition, the winners of the Overall Awards for Excellence will receive the University of Queensland Ipswich Campus Award for Excellence Trophy and will retain the Perpetual Trophy for twelve months.
