On the 4th September 1843 an advertisement for the sale of land in Ipswich appeared in The Sydney Morning Herald. On Saturday 4 November the Auctioneer’s account sale was listed in that same paper. Purchasers of Town Lots were G. Thorne, W. Moore, Solicitor Adams, R. Dicks, Surveyor Wade, H.H. Berry, McKenzie & Co., Mrs Pickering, and P. Nichols. Suburban Allotments were purchased by Messrs Campbell and Company, McKenzie and Co., Solicitor Adams, J. Scallion, Captain Wickham, D. Barlow and Surveyor Wade.
