Looking Back with Picture Ipswich – Our Eastern Suburbs

Picture Ipswich was launched in May 2008 and is an online resource containing a collection of historical images, documents and oral histories of people and places in Ipswich.

Local history enthusiasts are invited to attend a free “Looking Back with Picture Ipswich” session at the Redbank Plains Library on Thursday 6 October from 10am to 11.30am.  This session will focus on the historical images of the eastern suburbs of the city, with staff providing tips on browsing and searching in Picture Ipswich.  The presentation will also include an insight into the processes library staff use to build the collection of images in this online resource.

Bookings for this session – which includes morning tea – are essential and can be made by calling 3814 4855.
