Challenge Information
Get your hands dirty and get creative by helping with the creation of a Mini Garden Wall within the Makerspace!
Create a unique bouquet of paper plants and flowers using origami or paper craft designs to be paired with a 3D Thimble Pot to sit on the Makerspace Mini garden Wall!
Ipswich and Springfield libraries will both have Origami and precut greenery designs that have been created on our new Brother Scan and Cut machine at Ipswich Central Library. If you wish to participate in the created paper cut out flowers or customise a design for your bouquet please come to the Ipswich Central Library Makerspace to use our Brother Scan and Cut Machine.
This Challenge has two unique parts you can complete! Design your own unique Thimble Pot to hold your own handmade paper Mini Bouquets to be displayed in the Ipswich and Springfield Makerspaces
Consult with our Makerspace Officers at Ipswich Central Library and Springfield Central Library to create your own unique creation!
The Makerspace staff are looking forward to helping you create your perfect design!
How to Participate
- Visit the working area at Springfield Central Makerspace or Ipswich Central Makerspace
- Select your origami paper (Springfield Central and Ipswich Central Makerspaces) and or paper flowers (Ipswich Central Only)
- Design the flowers you would like to have in your bouquet
- Ask a Makerspace officer for the greenery to make your bouquet look lush and full.
- Show your entry to the Makerspace staff. They will assist you with applying any finishing touches, such as glueing your flowers to a chosen stem.
- Makerspace staff will take a photo of the creation for our displays and your creation will be added to our wall!
Challenge concludes on the 31st of October 2024
