Energy Efficiency Tool Kits

These tool kits are designed to help you identify issues that are affecting the energy efficiency of your home. Each of the tools provided are designed to give information about important aspects of your home’s efficiency, which can help you to work out what steps you can take to reduce how much energy you use, reduce your greenhouse gas emissions, and save money!

Why is energy efficiency important?

On average, each Australian household produces more than 18 tonnes of greenhouse gases annually. This includes emissions from energy use for heating, cooling, and powering appliances, as well as from private transport and waste.
Making our homes more efficient, and making the shift to renewable forms of energy, are important actions we can all take to reduce our carbon emissions and tackle climate change. Offering these kits to residents via our libraries is part of this commitment.
